ETHICS IN NUTRITION: CASE STUDIES
Dietitians are required to complete a minimum of one CPEU in ethics during each 5-year recertification cycle. This one-hour course will go over key concepts in ethics through engaging case studies and stories. You will leave the course with a better understanding of how ethics relates to our field and how you can implement the code of ethics into your practice.
Upon successful completion of this one-hour course, the participant should be able to:
- Understand ethics and common ethics terminology.
- Describe common ethical issues encountered in the nutrition and dietetics practice.
- Have a better understanding of how to conduct ethical decision making.

She spent 13 years working as a home care dietitian for the VA before diving into entrepreneurship full time. Katie is the owner of Katie Dodd Nutrition LLC, founder of The Geriatric Dietitian blog and High Calorie Recipes food blog, and the host Dietitian Side Hustle podcast. She is lives in Medford, OR and is mom to Gavin and Emily.
